Coley a national honors member

Kassie Marie Coley, of Castle Hayne, has been recognized as a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Sigma Alpha Lambda is dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development and lifelong professional fulfillment.

Junior golf academy tourney results

WILMINGTON | The Wilmington Junior Golf Academy held it?s annual fund-raising golf tournament Aug. 25 at the Wilmington Municipal Golf Course. The team that placed first is, Bob Livingstone, John Livingstone, Bill Stenger and Bob Stenger.

The WJGA is a nonprofit organization founded by Jake Hunt and has been teaching children the game of golf for free since 2008.
