This is a great website for marine photographs by Steven W Smeltzer. Considering the number of photographers on the web today it is hard to find photos that seize the imagination. Steven W Smeltzer offers a a tremendous assortment of images to select from and the costs are very reasonable. Whether you are searching for stock photos or images for private use this is certainly an artist to take into account.
I love photography focused on nature and wildlife and this photographer certainly stands above the rest. When you are searching for images you will observe him ranked highly across a variety of different categories. I particularly enjoy his undersea photographs and landscapes. One of the key objectives that Smeltzer states on his site is to enable individuals get "experience picture". I believe he does precisely that with the art which he has created. While a quantity of photos are straightforward, e.g., a image of a fish or historical image or a landscape image they invoke a certain emotion and flavor which I view as natural, engaging and emotional.
I love some of the shipwreck diving photographs, particularly the photos of the USS Kittiwake and the "Morning Crew" a photograph of an early morning two man rowing crew getting in practice on Lake Zurich. Have you ever been to Hawaii and gone watching whales? Or if you are a scuba diver have you been to Molokai? I feel from seeing photos from this rising photographer that I have traveled in those places and it is simply wonderful. There are a tremendous selection of images so review carefully and let yourself go as you consider and contemplate the photographs which Smelter has created.
You mightalso look at the video that he posted on diving with Manta Rays in Hawaii. The video is very provoking and makes me want to begin diving myself. The photos, video segments and music work well collectively and although a bit rough around the edges gives you that raw feeling of this amazing dive. Check out the photography on his website, because his work will certainly be demanding a lot higher fees sometime soon.
