Sailing to the Greek Islands!

After setting sail in Istanbul, we arrived on the island of Chios on Sunday afternoon. After docking, we took an afternoon excursion to the Monastery of Nea Moni. It was set high up in the hills and offered a beautiful view of the ocean and Chios harbor front.

On Monday morning, we awoke to the? island of Crete. We took a full day excursion to see Knossos and the Heraklion Gallery. Both of our stops were wonderful! So many exquisite pieces in the gallery and Knossos was a once in a lifetime experience! After a morning of sightseeing, we ate lunch at a restaurant that featured local and seasonal fare. It was fantastic. In the afternoon, (right now!) we had some time at leisure to explore the old Venetian town of Rethymnon.
Everyone is having a great time so far. Beautiful weather, great ship, and fantastic people!
