BEREA, Ohio (AP) ? Browns coach Pat Shurmur says linebacker Scott Fujita has not been distracted by the Saints' bounty scandal.
Fujita was suspended for three games by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for his role in the pay-for-hits program while he was with New Orleans. Fujita has maintained his innocence and is appealing the suspension.
Shurmur says his interaction with Fujita has been positive and the 32-year-old team captain "has been about his business" as the Browns opened their mandatory three-day minicamp Tuesday. Shurmur said the team has not decided who would fill in for Fujita at strong-side linebacker if he does not win his appeal.
Fujita's reputation has taken a pounding since the bounty scandal broke. He's on the executive committee for the NFLPA and has argued for safety on behalf of the players.
